Election Day is finally here. It’s too early to have much in the way of results but I’ll keep an eye on the TV tonight in hopes of good news. I voted late this morning, around 11:00, and had no problems. No lines, no confusion–everything went pretty well. I’m curious to hear how it went [...]

Birthdays and Pumpkins and Houses
October 22nd, 2008 · No Comments
It’s been a busy couple of weeks for us here at the Lambrights. On October 11, Kaylee turned one year old! We had a party for her the next day with Nicole’s folks and our good friends Andrew and Jacque (Andrew is Kaylee’s Godfather). Nicole made a huge, beautiful cake and Kaylee got lots of [...]
We’re Moving to Kasson in November
October 10th, 2008 · No Comments
We haven’t closed yet but it looks like we have both sold our house and bought a new one in Kasson. It’s been a long, curvy road to get here but the end is in sight.
First things first. A few days ago, we got an offer on our house. We had been working with this [...]

Kaylee Update
August 26th, 2008 · No Comments
Kaylee is growing by leaps and bounds. She has a couple of teeth that have finally pushed through the gums. Her discomfort seems to have eased now so we’re hoping she’ll get a little break from teething. She is also trying so hard to walk. She can stand for up to 15 seconds at a [...]

Catching Up

Haven’t posted here in awhile. The last week has been full of fun and everything else has slid a little. Last Thursday, I went to the Kansas City Chiefs training camp to see them scrimmage with the Minnesota Vikings. It was the idea of my brother-in-law, Rod, and we went along with his two kids, [...]

Nicole got discharged from St. Mary’s yesterday. In the end, the tests revealed no clear reason for her symptoms. She is taking extra iron supplements to help maintain her hemoglobin levels and some medication to calm her stomach down. She will also be on a soft, bland diet for awhile. Nonetheless, it appears that the [...]

More Tests
April 28th, 2008 · No Comments
OK. I misunderstood when I wrote that Nicole was getting both a colonoscopy and an endoscopy today. It was just the endoscopy. And that test didn’t show anything conclusive. So tomorrow, they will go ahead with the colonoscopy at 10:00. Hopefully, she will be discharged after that but more tests will be needed if nothing [...]

Update on Nicole
April 28th, 2008 · No Comments
Nicole is still at St. Mary’s. They’re concerned about two things, swelling of the stomach wall right where the esophagus meets the stomach and anemia. They’ve been taking blood tests all weekend and are analyzing the samples today. At 2:00, they will do a colonoscopy and an endoscopy to get a clear picture of her [...]

Nicole is in the hospital
April 27th, 2008 · No Comments
Nicole was admitted to St. Mary’s hospital yesterday (04-26) with severe stomach pain. We don’t know much yet, just that there is swelling in the stomach wall. The Gastrointestinal specialist will look at her on Monday and we’ll hopefully know more then. I’ll post more as we learn more.
