The Very Rich Hours of the Lambrights

I was planning to write up something with my reaction to tonight’s presidential debate but I didn’t get to see it.  As most of you know, Nicole works nights and with two little girls to take care of I cannot just sit down and watch 90 minutes of debate at 8:00 PM.  That’s bedtime.  So I set up our DVR to record it.  Girls are in bed by 9:00; Daddy sits down to watch the debate.

Well, that was the plan.  You see, I recorded the debate on C-SPAN.  I like C-SPAN because I think their coverage is usually a little more thoughtful than the pundit shoutfests you get on CNN/Fox/MSNBC.  Unfortunately for me, C-SPAN apparently changed their mind about the schedule and decided to show the debate on C-SPAN2.  Or maybe the cable company is to blame for not updating their listings.  I don’t know.  What I do know is that my recording of the debate ended up being a bunch of idiot Congressmen in an empty House reading resolutions into the Congressional Record.  This is the perfect end to what has been a less-than-great week.

I know the debate is probably available online.  And it will probably be shown again this weekend on at least one of the news channels.  So I will get something posted eventually.  But not tonight.
